Anti-Bullying
In November, 2022, our Year 6 Anti-Bullying Ambassadors attended the ‘Reach Out: Anti-Bullying’ conference at St Anthony’s. Here, they discussed and learned about current important issues such as peer-pressure, negative/positive relationships and of course, bullying. They are now well-equipped with the skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles at school!
An Anti-Bullying Ambassador is someone who works to try to tackle bullying in their school, work and/or community.
Our Anti-Bullying Ambassadors are around the school to help anyone with any friendship problems - if children want help or advice, if they feel like they are being bullied or if they think they have seen bullying in school.
At the beginning of the academic year, children across the school apply to be part of the team, explaining why they feel they feel they would be a good ambassador for their class. The ambassadors meet regularly and liaise with the Junior Leadership Teaml to highlight positives and address potential issues linked to bullying.
Our Anti-Bullying Ambassadors helped Mrs Hunter to deliver a very important assembly during Anti-Bullying Week. We all came to school wearing our 'Odd Socks' to celebrate what makes us all unique and spread kindness!
