Request for exceptional leave
If your child will not attend school for any planned reason (excluding medical/dental appointments, where it has not been possible to book them outside of school hours) a request for exceptional leave should be submitted to the school office as soon as possible to be reviewed by Mr Ward/Miss Ward.

Amendments to the 2006 regulations remove reference to family holiday and extended leave as well as the statutory threshold of ten school days. The amendments make clear that Headteachers may not grant any leave of absence during term time unless there are exceptional circumstances.
